2. Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to the registration and participation in the Pond Hockey Weissensee event organized by the Kärntner Eishockeyverband (KEHV).

By registering, the registering person accepts these Terms and Conditions.

3. Registration and Participation Fee

Registration is completed online using the registration form provided by the organizer.

Participation is free of charge.

The automatic confirmation sent after submitting the form confirms receipt of the registration. Participation may be limited by the available capacity of the event.

4. Team Registration

Teams are registered by a team captain or another designated contact person.

The contact person is responsible for providing complete and correct registration information and for forwarding relevant information from the organizer to the registered team members.

5. Minors

Minors are permitted to participate.

For every registered minor, the consent of a parent or legal guardian must be obtained before participation.

By submitting the registration, the person registering the team confirms that the required consent of the respective parent or legal guardian has been obtained for all registered minors.

The organizer reserves the right to request appropriate proof of such consent where necessary.

Participation of a minor does not automatically transfer general parental or supervisory responsibility to the organizer beyond the organized sporting activities.

6. Health and Personal Requirements

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are physically and medically fit to participate in the event.

For minors, this responsibility lies with their parents or legal guardians.

Unless expressly stated otherwise for a particular event, no general medical certificate is required.

7. Equipment and Safety

Participants must use suitable and safe ice hockey equipment appropriate for the event.

All participants must follow the safety instructions and directions of the organizer, officials and persons responsible for the event.

Participants may be excluded from individual activities or from the event in the event of serious or repeated violations of safety instructions or if continued participation could endanger themselves or others.

8. Insurance

Participants, or in the case of minors their parents or legal guardians, are responsible for ensuring adequate health and accident insurance coverage.

Registration for the event does not in itself guarantee any additional individual insurance coverage provided by the organizer.

9. Changes, Postponement and Cancellation

The organizer reserves the right to change, postpone or cancel the event where necessary due to weather conditions, ice conditions, safety considerations, official requirements, force majeure or other circumstances beyond the organizer’s reasonable control.

There is no entitlement to the event taking place on a specific date if circumstances require a change or postponement.

10. Non-Participation

If a registered team or participant is unable to participate, the organizer should be informed as early as possible.

As participation in Pond Hockey Weissensee is free of charge, no cancellation fees apply.

11. Liability

The organizer’s liability is governed by the applicable statutory provisions.

Participation in ice hockey and Pond Hockey involves risks typical of the sport. The organizer is not liable for damage resulting solely from such general sporting risks where the organizer has not caused the damage through fault and to the extent permitted by law.

Liability for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, as well as any mandatory statutory liability, particularly in relation to personal injury, remains unaffected.

12. Photo and Video Recordings

Photo and video recordings may be made during the event for documentation, reporting and public relations purposes.

The organizer will respect applicable data protection laws and rights relating to a person’s image, with particular consideration given to the protection of minors.

Where separate consent is legally required for the use of identifiable images or recordings, such consent will be obtained accordingly.

13. Data Protection

Personal data submitted during registration will be processed for the purpose of organizing and conducting Pond Hockey Weissensee and communicating with registered participants and teams.

14. Final Provisions

Mandatory provisions of Austrian law apply.

Should any individual provision of these Terms and Conditions be or become invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected to the extent permitted by law.
